Research Team Led by Professor Liu Zongping from Yangzhou University Publishes Research Paper in Advanced Science
     Recently, a research team led by Professor Liu Zongping from the College of Veterinary Medicine at our university published a research paper online titled “Tunneling Nanotube-Mediated Transcellular Autophagy Alleviates Cadmium Induced Hepatocyte Injury” in the journal Advanced Science. This study discovered a novel autophagy pathway—transcellular autophagy. Cadmium triggers this process in hepatocytes, promoting the transfer of autophagosomes from damaged cells to healthy cells for degradation.
